Woke up this morning convinced that it was Saturday. Been staring at the computer screen, willing the words to come, and my brain is all "nope, this was the weekend you said you were going to take off, so we're off." And trying to explain that it's Not Saturday Yet...

So. Maybe it's Saturday? If so, snow, please hurry up and get here, so the streets can be plowed/cleared by Sunday, k?

Maybe today will be about making cookies and reading other peoples' books. There are worse ways to spend a day. [EtA: snuck up on the brain and got my thousand minimum. Yay sneaky! Yay Word War!]

If you ordered books via the Clear the Closet sale, and paid, then your books are in the mail. If you haven't paid yet, they will be shipped after Christmas. I'm not going NEAR the post awful right now. Besides, it's 14 degrees out there. Staying inside, yes.

And... I think that's all I got. So, a few reminders:

The Vineart War FAQ needs your Qs!

You can read me talking about THE SHADOW CONSPIRACY and BookView Cafe at Scalzi's "The Big Idea"

And then you can go register (for free) at BookView Cafe and pick up a copy of THE SHADOW CONSPIRACY ('cause you know you want to) and while you're there, browse the other offerings, for your snowy weekend reading...

and hey, since you're already downloading reading material, my Civil War fantasy novella "Finders' Keeper" is available as part of the ebook collection DEFIANCE, via Amazon or in multiple formats direct from Drollerie Press

From a blog-review: "Without giving away spoilers, I wasn’t sure how I felt about the ending. But having thought about it more, I’ve decided that I liked it. Davida remains true to her character, a woman who knows what she wants out of life and refuses to compromise for it, even when it may have been easier to do so." [I made a reader stop and think about what she'd read and how she felt about it: ergo, the story worked. Go, team me!]

so cold out. don't know why I thought I needed to do these errands now - except that I didn't want to HAVE to do them if this snow actually materializes.

I think your plan for cookies and books sounds lovely. I wish I could do cookies and books today :-( But I must work so that I can play SHOULD the alleged snow come (can you tell I've been burned by bad weather people one too many times) I can play in it and then wander up town Sunday.

Woke up this morning convinced that it was Saturday.

How odd -- I've been fighting exactly this same conviction this morning. Must be something in the air.
