Having a puppy say "I love you, let's go for a walk!" is not a bad way to start the day. Even if the cats are sulking.

She's far too well-mannered to ever do that. She will dance and whine at the door rather than disgrace herself.

Likewise she knows to leave my sister's yarn stash alone. Smart puppy doesn't want to be banished to the basement.

I woke up a similar way: with a dog standing on my bed, breathing in my face. "Can we go out now, mommy? It's already 8 a.m.!"

I've been told that it will only get worse when my baby is born, because they don't have the decency to wait until it gets light out.
