My story "In the Aftermath of Something Happening" was scheduled for the June issue of OCEANS OF THE MIND.

My story "Dragons" was scheduled for the July-September issue of ChiZine.

"Dragons" is up and ready to read.

"In the Aftermath...." isn't available yet, from what I can tell.

That's okay. "Dragons" takes place earlier in the timeline of this particular universe than "In the Aftermath..." Better to read it first.

So why are you still here? Go! Read!

addendum I just got the best compliment on "Dragons" from a reader over on sff.net: "Well, if *that* doesn't make my DNA crawl, I don't know what does . . ." Glee! It worked! it worked!

It's an intense story. I think sometimes people just don't know what to say and so say nothing.

I just read "Dragons," and I'll agree with it being both excellent and intense. Well done.

Amazingly enough, I think it may be the first work of yours I've actually read, though I've got STAYING DEAD on pre-order at Amazon. I'm quite looking forward to reading it.

From what I'd heard of STAYING DEAD, which I was already looking forward to before I read "Dragons," I didn't think there'd be a lot of similarity, other than the good writing part of things. It was more two fairly unconnected comments stuck together in one posting....
