Hello and Goodbye from Atlanta...
Sep. 7th, 2009 05:27 pmDragoncon rocked my socks. Yeah, it's crazy-insane and there were many, many abuses of no-costume-is-no-costume, but I can't remember the last time I was able to completely relax and just enjoy myself at a convention. A Certain Editor who remains LC holds some responsibility for that.... (More Bourbon!)
Work? Oh yeah, did some of that. The reading on Friday went very well, and both my signings were surprisingly (to me) well-attended. And no, I never get tired of hearing "I LOVE your books." Makes me feel all warm and fuzzy, it does. :-D The panels were a mixed bag, but overall I felt I was interesting and entertaining, so that'll all I can control... I also figured out the rather tricksy plot to a short story of which I'd already written almost `1000 words (yay) and connected for some PR and freelance work possibilities in the future.
But mainly I kicked back and had a blast. Even if certain childhood memories have been forever scarred....
