Five Things on A Friday

2. I got an e-mail yesterday about Something Nice. Which I can't share with anyone yet, officially. But it made me do a happy author chair dance. /tease.
3. Because I feel like teasing y'all some more, a wee snipped from the WiP:
The liquid shivered, still swirling in the cup, and then it stilled. The surface shimmered, glowing with its own reddish light, and Jerzy could sense something happening inside the cup, some change occurring in the spellwine; not quite the same change that he felt during an original incantation. This was deeper, heavier, building pressure like a storm about to break. Jerzy leaned forward, drawn by the sense of something tremendous happening, something new, and then he felt the cool, hard voice in his head again.
Run.
4. I will be part of a signing (with some of the same miscreants from #1) on August 1st, at the Borders in Paramus, NJ from noon-4pm. Official Announcement to follow, but you might want to mark the date now.
5. and also, quoting Kit quoting me:
In the War Room just now, Laura Anne said, “Kit, I am in awe, once again, at your mixture of productivity and total lack of self-preservation.”
I suspect that says it all. Not that she should talk. :)
