Jun. 20th, 2009 10:56 pmAnd lo, the author is home from the Great Road Trip and Group Signing, and it was a blast. And the weather co-operated by pouring down and trapping everyone in the mall with nothing else to do except buy our books. Yay!

Many many thanks to everyone who came out and bought books, and to
fireun and crew who kept us going. For the record, about $25 was raised for the Broome County Animal Care Council [not including the authors who forgot to deposit their quarters -- bad authors! But one says she'll send a donation in on Monday, so yay!]
And now I am OMG Very Tired and going to fall over....
Oh, and if you've heard of the great mono-signature and wondered what it looked like?

EtA: in comparing stories at dinner, after, I am pleased to say that (other than the gentleman who was quite put out that I would not read his one-page story then and there) I had no crazies, arrogant jerks, or otherwise annoying people -- although the woman who refused to buy her pre-teen daughter any books did make me want to call Child Welfare services. That was nicely offset by the man who brought his daughter over to meet authors and buy books [after looking through them himself and checking with his wife].
