May. 24th, 2009 01:17 amwe just got kicked out of the bar. at 1am. These semi-southern conventions, I don't know what's up with them....
(we were being perfectly well-behaved, if rude in our haiku and double entendre. My reputation is once againshot assured...)

And y'all might consider suing over the trauma cause by alcohol deprivation.

Date: 2009-05-25 06:38 am (UTC)Well, HELLLOOOOOOOOOO!
</ Terrible English accent >
I am catching up on my B-con correspondence and notes and what not- the late hour is due not to laziness*, but rather that your card somehow got dropped between seat cushions and I had a devil of a time fishing it out- after searching through all of my luggage! It is now happily residing on the fridge, helping to hold up my daughter's turtle picture and to remind me to check out Amazon tomorrow, unless there's a better place you prefer.
I am looking forward to the Vineart books very much! The monkey-embossed German red I was telling you about was an Affenthaler, made from Pinot Noir grapes. But I believe it was a lot lighter than most Pinot Noirs I've had. Honestly, it's been a while since I had it, though, so if it's swill... then Patricia was feeding me the information. Yes...
And by golly, I am working on that recipe book. I may make up a scotch ice cream, just for
me andyou. I'm not sure how I'd work that into 'geekdom,' but wow, I will have fun trying. I've made Guinness, wasabi, and mango/mint ice cream, scotch should be fun. Or horrible. I guess I'll find out. I was telling my husband about the recipe ideas, and he said, "Of course, you have to put your gazpacho soup in it," which is fantastic considering he usually dislikes both squash and cold soups.Hope you're having a lovely time and have a safe ride home.
*Although possibly due to insomnia, but by gum (and bon-bons!), I shall write to all the people I miss before I go gently into that... good thingie.

Date: 2009-05-26 12:24 am (UTC)I'm a firm believer in supporting actual bookstores whenever possible, but if Amazon is your vendor of choice, that works, too.
And keep me updated on the cookbook project! It really did sound fannishly fascinating.

I was happily asleep in my room while you were being disbarred.
