1) Today is the official on-sale date for BLOOD FROM STONE [BN/Powell's/Amazon]. With this book, Wren and Sergei's story ends -- for the time being, anyway. Bonnie and her crew get a run now, and I'm delighted to be playing with them, but... *blows nose, pretends it's just from the flu bug*

2) Today is the official on-sale date for BLOOD FROM STONE, so Monday's contest is now officially closed. I'll be sorting and choosing a winner today.

3) Today is also National "Buy Indie" Day. If you haven't already ordered your copy from a chain (and even if you have!) find a local independent bookstore and show 'em some love. Remember -- local dollars spent locally tend to STAY local!

Sadly, while I was supposed to meet friends for drinkage, I think another night absent from the rest of humanity is a better idea. Hopefully by Sunday, when my next social engagement is engaged, I will be 100% recovered.

You need to kick fictionwise.com's ass. They don't have it listed, even as a pre-order.

Mobipocket.com has it available, so fictionwise better hurry up, or they'll lose another of my purchases to mobipocket.com.

Strangely, Amazon does not have a kindle edition either. Kindle is just mobipocket with different DRM, it's odd Luna and Amazon didn't have an agreement.

I cannot comment on availability in Brick'n'Mortar stores in Boston, but I'm sure you'll see for yourself next week. Do you have any public events scheduled next Sunday?

Yeah, I was surprised as well - I suspect Amazon was once again getting too big for their britches, so Kindle rights are being held up while back room negotiations go on. Don't know why Fictionwise isn't happening though... will put a call in.

The hubby picked up my copy for me on Saturday at Booksamillion. He had a lot of trouble finding it. They had it shelved in "general fiction". Weird.

Anyway, I'm thrilled to have it and sad to see that storyline end. I've loved every book in this series so far. I'll be starting it today, just as soon as I finish reading the last two chapters of Lucienne Diver's Vamped.

Well, there will be the Bonnie books out next year -- and remember, simply because a storyline ends doesn't mean the characters are gone! (yeah, there's a proposal for Retriever #7 floating around in my brain -- all I needed was some time with other people for them to get jealous and come back with a new story. Characters are like that sometimes. Now the question will be if Luna wants it... )
