A person I once was fond of is playing emotional games (as opposed to the financial ones already being played) with the soon-to-be-ex -- using pets as gamepieces because there are, thankfully, no kids involved.

These situations are bad enough no matter what happens. But I find this particularly despicable. And even moreso because outsiders (people who offered the pets a home when the former friend said they had to go and the soon-to-be-ex couldn't take them all) are now also being jerked around and put in difficult positions.

In short, I feel the need to bitch-slap coming on...

Under those circumstances, I'd say they'd be lucky to get off with just a bitch slap.
