I have, in my hands, the first copy off-the-press of Anne Bishop's THE BLACK JEWELS trilogy, in the brand new all-in-one trade format. With new introduction by the author.

And may I just say.. wow.


For those of you who've been hoarding your individual editions, this is easier to read (the type was re-set) and lovely to hold. For those of you who don't know Anne Bishop's work (for god's sake, have you heard nothing I've said for the past ten years?), treat yourself. Pick this up when it's released in December. pre-order it now, so you'll be first to get your hands on it...

well, except for me, of course. I'm taking this one home with me.

Oh, cool. There aren't many books where I feel a need for two copies due to frequent re-reading, but the Black Jewel Trilogy is definitely in that category. Thanks again for recommending them all those years ago!

Finished re-reading the entire thing tonight. Feeling pleasantly drained. Damn but she's good. And so'm I for having found and nurtured her. *preen* *laugh*
