Sitting on the patio, getting my daily ration of sunshine (they tell me it's good for me, I am still dubious) and watching wee lizards frolic at my toes. The outline for MUSTANG is perking along nicely, after a brief scuffle with chapter eight. Yesterday's outing was to Sarasota, where I succumbed to the call of a wonderfully evil architectural salvage yard and come away with two vintage cigar boxes, one wood,the other metal (but not the teak doors that were a damned steal, nor the wrought iron gate). I have also, apparently,forgotten how to cook in an electric oven *facepalm* Oh well. Not up to my standards but still edible.

Finished THE DEVIL YOU KNOW. Dense and gritty, not perfect but very good, and an interesting antidote to the current bright surroundings. I'll probably get the next book from the library, though

Today, off to meet with varkat and her spouse in Ybor City. Home sometime Tuesday, depending on the whims of the Air Gods. Although Spooky and Ezra are delightful, I miss my kittens.

I veryvery liked all three of the Mike Careys. The third is probably stronger than the second, though.

They miss you, too, although I think Pandy is starting to accept that I'm part of the extended family, by virtue of her twice actually coming out from under the bed (and once staying out), which has never ever ever happened before.....

(Oh, and you got two packages, and I finally brought over the rest of quarkwiz's cat food.)
