debg arrived at midnight on Tuesday. We talked until 2 am, staggered into consciousness mid-morning Wednesday, and headed down to Manhattan where we...

Hit the thrift stores (and scored). Ate burgers at my favorite NYC burger place. Went downtown and wandered in and out of whatever stores caught our fancy. Got Deb her preferred coffee. Stopped for a glass (or two) at a wine bar I've been meaning to check out (very nice, will be back there). Were attacked by a vintage clothing store where I struggled valiantly with the question of To Buy or Not To Buy a 1920's black velvet frock coat that looked amazing on me but would have needed additional repairs before I could wear it. Decided not, regretfully. Went and spent some of that money instead at the ever-dangerous Shoegasm (soft black leather lace-up half-boots ith fabulous heels, score!). Came home and and drank prosecco, packed and crashed. This morning, making sure I have all the essentials (laptop charger, thumb drive, notebook, camera) and giving Deb last-minute instructions.
