I need to stop thinking that I can do a dozen things in a day and then get annoyed with myself when I only manage nine. Because, seriously. Nine's pretty damn good. Isn't it?

Am vastly amused, though, that I was working on the author proofs in Starbucks yesterday and "I Wanna be Sedated" comes on the speakers, and just as the last note plays, I type up the last word of the last page of notes. Sweartagod. I have a witness.

Meannwhile, proofs have been turned in on deadline, and I have survived my first co-op board meeting. Most folk vote by proxy. Me? I like to get my hands dirty -- or at least know what we're digging in. *shakes head* Oy. I can see myself running for the board next year, so I might as well stock up on the aspirin now...

More work to haul through today, plus clearing my schedule for next week (freelance incoming! along with the usual deadlines), and then I'm taking tomorrow OFF 'cause houseguest + Spring = street fairs!

about ten miles away in another boro, no fear. Although it is awfully close to where friends and family live. Scary shite, that. Cranes are not supposed to fall-down-go-boom....
