What I love about this show--really the only one I watch at all if I turn on the t.v.--is not whether the patient of the week is going to live or die (yeah, I know, that's cold). In that respect alone it's fairly predictable--it's always "life or death" and it's a 50-50 chance by the last ten minutes. What I love is the interactions of the regular characters and that even when they're at the extremes of "normal" human behavior you believe them. Very cool.
Oh yeah, that and it brings the whole Dr. Bell was the inspiration for Sherlock Holmes who was the inspiration for House thing full circle. Nice.
