Welcome to the Pulp Shakespeare Project, devoted to the reconstruction of William Shakespeare's play A Slurry Tale, which curiously resembles Quentin Tarantino's film Pulp Fiction. There is no way to stop this from happening, so this wiki exists to ensure that it is done well, or as well as it can be.

I'm not wearing any damned button. Bottom line is, this is Darwinian breakdown at its finest: if someone looks at me and is stupid enough to think he can get away with groping, I take his family jewels and they become mine: penis as necklace pendant, testicles as earrings.

I know what you mean! People really needed help taking advantage of those women who don't have enough self-esteem to say 'no' when asked and don't want to be seen as going against the crowd or weaklings.

Right, and how do you beat objectification? You put a bright!shiny!button! on the very thing you wish to de-objectify; yes you may, no you may not ...let's pin it right there.

Assholes put a convention at risk against a lawsuit(sssssss) and sullied the name of fandom.

If they wear buttons clearly stating YES or NO, not only do we get to keep objectifying them, we can take it to the next level WITHOUT ACTUALLY HAVING TO ENGAGE GIRLS IN CONVERSATION!

Not quite, because the original post seems to say that one must still ask a button-wearer for permission, and that someone wearing "YES" still has the right to say "No" if they feel like it in a given situation. However, even if the woman is wearing the "NO" button, a "member" of the project can still ask for permission. Obviously "No" still means "maybe" to some folks.

If only these people put this much energy into... I don't know... the enviroment or something worthwhile.

Seeing someone with a YES button and asking her "May I?" is still a whole lot easier for these folks than actually talking to a woman like a human being and seeing if there's any chemistry. The mindset here is: How do I get what I want without having to work for it?
