lagilman1. Print the letter out and skim it quickly, allowing only the major points to jump out and let me know the general tone [did I pass? Fail? Am I going to have to fall on my sword or collapse in relief?]
2. Do everything else on to-do list before forcing self to sit down and actually re-read the letter.
3. Read the letter more carefully, letting the general tone of the letter sink in, seeing if I have a strong, immediate reaction to anything ["Oh, yeah!" or "Hell, no!"].
4. Start making scribbled notes on the letter, coming up with possible corrections/reworks, preparatory to talking things over with Madame Editrix on Monday.
5. Actual writing.
Current status: Stage 4.
