Coho is another name for the silver salmon. There are several sorts of salmon; red (sockeye), silver (coho), pink (dog or humpback), and king (chinook), at least in the Pacific. No idea if there are other species in the Atlantic. Silver is damned fine fish, red is good, king is brilliant, particularly if any of those are Alaskan Cook Inlet fish, which has the best salmon in the world*. Pink is dogfood, hence the name.
*No doubt disputable, but I'm from the Cook Inlet region, and will stick to my guns over this. :) And yes, I *have* spent far too many hours working in canneries, why do you ask?
