Once again youah "urban sophistication" verges on naiveté.
Where I grew up, folks were so poorah that we’d save up all yearah and then put on the outside lights that we could afford, even if it meant hocking granny’s false teeth.
The Hatfields were quite deliberate – they’d turn up the volume full blast and leave it on all night, along with the lights jut to git under the skin of my mean ole granddaddy.
They laughed the first time they seed him git out his gun. The rest is hillbilly history,- So Laura-Annie, Git Your Gun!
