We have new people! Hello, new people! Be welcome, feel free to step up to the mike and say hello!

It is cold and dreary and very busy here in Ch. Felidae. And I have gotten out from behind my wordage deficit. Still a ways to go, but I'm no longer feeling like a Loosah. (the book still is crap, though. That will hold until I'm done and have had a decent weekend's sleep with it on someone else's desk). This afternoon, we attack the freelance.

There is Much going on in the world outside, almost all of it worrying. Go, read a newspaper or three. Read a non-USAn newspaper for a different view. Make up your own mind what you think. Governments everywhere hate that.

Randomage:

Thanks to the aid of my non-resident Tech Guru, Bunter the Palm Pilot has been brought back to life and renamed Lazarus (aka Laz). However, I suspect the address section is out of date. If you think I should have your address, or it has changed in the past year, please e-mail it to me!

Dave Barry's Annual Holiday Gift Guide More amusing for the commentary than the actual gifts.

TV Tidbits:

"Pushing Daisies" riffed on "The Birds." This makes me so strangely happy. And a jailsplostation joke! And "footlose and finger-free!" I so <3 this show. It's so sweetly surreal and gentle with its broken people...

(it does not make up for having to miss CM because of stupid scheduling tricks on the networks' part, but I will catch it in reruns and I will not willingly miss PD. I am a PD junkie)

Oh, and some basic math: Anthony Bourdain + Hello Kitty = broken suri. OMG and eeee!

(on the other hand, seeing him in the Italian bakery I used to go to back in Jersey made me laugh madly. And crave pastry. I don't like any of the pastry places in New Haven. Is that not sad?)

Right. Back to work.

Hmmm. You shouldn't have to miss CM, as it was a particularly awesome ep. I, by the by, friended you after discovering you had an LJ. Mostly, I am familiar with you via Julie's newsgroup. (I am not super at commenting there or here, but there I go by my real name, Charity.)

Anyway, I think CM might still be in my Tivo, and if it is, I can burn it to DVD for you, if you'd like. It was a good ep, and had a nice continuation from last week ala Garcia and Morgan.

I'll step up to the mic, I guess... :D

I'm julie, a fan of the Retriever series, and an aspiring writer, though my muse isn't cooperating much, recently. Ah well.

I'm in the middle of CURSE THE DARK, and loving it as much as the STAYING DEAD.

Have a wonderful day!

With respect to Pushing Daises, I find myself continuqlly delighted by Emerson's use of similes. The winner for me last night was the one about "the Truth ain't like a bunch of puppies, running around, you pick your favorite."

Sigh. I am happy.

I'm new. I wandered over from [livejournal.com profile] dianora2's LJ. I think we met at a party of hers one time. I'm one of her DC friends.

Dude, Tivo takes the work out of taping stuff. It is the best techno invention since iPod.

I do still have it, so if you'd like me to send it your way, go ahead and e-mail me at suliabryon(at)gmail(dot)com
