lagilman: coffee or die (meerkat meh)

Well, I tried to get out of the house today, to go watch the Giants game with a friend at her new apartment. Alas, after eating some lunch, my sore throat decided to strike back, and I drove home to an appointment with the sofa.

I then woke up, had large amounts of tea, and nailed one project to the wall. Okay, I tacked it to the wall, as it will now go to m'editor for pithy, pointed, and painful comments about all the things I missed or misdid, and how to fix them. But at least it will be off my desk for a few weeks. Yay!

And then, flush with victory -- or maybe it's a fever -- I went on to nail some Very Important Paperwork to the wall, and made arrangements to take the VIP on to the next level. For those of you following this saga: eeeeeeee.

And now I am going to curl up back on the sofa with some more tea, and watch dvds until I fall asleep.

however, before I go, a very important link --- One of our LJ-own, House exec producer/writer Doris Egan, talks about being inside the WGA strike, and the history of writers in Hollywood. Go, read it. Think about it, when you watch tv or movies, when you read a script or a book, when someone tells you a Story.

Most workers get duped by management making scads more money than they do for making the things that makes money for the company. I'm glad WGA is swtanding up to the conglomerates. I despair of them winning. We are going back into the Victorian period, when the haves have and the have-nots die in the streets.

Yay for some significant accomplishments on a sickly Sunday.

Getting all that done while ill is all well and good, but now you're going to have to spackle all those holes in the wall.

Go Suri!
