scene: ch. felidae, early morning. cats are sleeping peacefully. suri is not.

suri: I can't be sick! I have too much to do!
suri's body: *evil laugh, followed by hacking painful cough*
suri: Screw you. I'm going to work anyway.

an hour and several mugs of herbal tea later, suri, still sounding like Lauren Bacall [and if it didn't hurt I'd enjoy that, actually), starts to poke her pointy nose into the day.

suri's body; *damnit, foiled again by Stash's lemon-ginger tea!*

[Tom Hanks voice] "Sick days? There aren't any sick days in freelance!"[/Tom Hanks voice]

And the line of the day is: "it's about more than the sale at Macy's, mom," uttered by a child in the store yesterday. I wanted to hug her. Indeed.

All of us here at the Chaneyville Horror have the crud with a cough. Sounds like a dog kennel. The Nyqil and hot tea have been flowing.

I prefer Twinings for my black tea, but Stash does wonderful herbals.

Send away. Although I am at this point too sick to do more than eat crackers and pre-made foods. Yes, I am reduced to take-away and canned foods. That's never a good sign.
