Godspeed, Endeavor. Godspeed, Barbara Morgan -- twenty-one years isn't too long to hold onto a dream.

I didn't realize how much this would mean to me. Am actually sniffly. *raises glass* Rest in peace, Christa. Your legacy lives.

As the flight announcer just said, "class is in session."

Perfect weather, Perfect launch. Couldn't have asked for more.

I was at the gym, no idea, and suddenly I saw Barbara Morgan being interviewed on the tv (strange how I still recognize her from the aftermath of the Challenger disaster), and next thing I knew it was one minute until liftoff. So I stuck there on the machine I was on to wtch the launch, and I did actually get tears in my eyes. I hadn't realized how much it still means to me. Most other people in the gym went on with their workouts oblivious, but a few - like me - paused to watch.

I actually held my breath during the launch. I was just so scared to death that it could happen again...

It was shocking for a sec to see Barbara, especially since I remember her so vividly as Christa backup. But I give her kudos for going hanging in there and going up. I may just keep track a bit on Nasa's on-line TV link.

Shocking because I remember her as looking so young, not because she was going up.
