(Boomer was curled up next to me, sleeping, and I accidentally tapped his butt with the edge of the laptop when I shifted. He sproinged off the bed, and then did a sort of kick-leap directly into the air to show how spooked he was, then stopped and turned to glare at me.
Poor darling. But I couldn't stop laughing)

Riley, my Labrador, did almost the identical thing last night. I shifted in bed to toss off some covers, touched her flank only slightly, and bam! She was down and complaining.
