The NYTimes webbed the story at 6:21 EDT. About an hour later, there were 84 comments.

Newsday webbed it at 6:14.

I find it irritating that Newsday -- which as I understand it isn't really a NYC paper -- seems to do better on NYC local news than the Times.

The breaking news headline I posted came from the NYT after the scroll appeared on the 6pm news -- the full story was up by 6:20. Since they had to actually write the story, that's more than fair timing, IMO.
