I got my caffeine, and came right the hell home.

I don't know what's going on, but the streets here are way too empty, and there are a lot of sirens, even more than usual, wailing in and out of town. The delivery guy at the store said there had been some kind of bloody mob scene downtown, where they were doing the movie cattle call, some kind of mass hysteria or something. He claimed someone tried to bite him!

Jesus. I've been through enough already, okay Universe? I so don't need this. I'm a damned horror writer, I know what's going on.

Gonna power up the extra laptop batteries, just in case, close the windows, and cuddle my kittens. And siphon off some gas from the tank. I hope I won't need it.

EtA: They're running some kind of news update here, but details are for crap and I don't know if I trust them. My downstairs neighbors came up here -- they feel safer not being on the first floor, in case it spreads out from the city....
