Thomas Jefferson is also the person who proclaimed that any reasonable man would become Unitarian, and expected it to be the dominant faith of this country in his lifetime. Um. Still waiting. (We UUs have held steady at about 250,000 nationwide for the last 30 some years.)

BTW, I've a bone to pick with you. I sprained my ankle badly a couple of days ago. As I couldn't work (couldn't keep foot elevated at desk, and, um, pain meds) or garden, I thought it would be a fine time to start Burning Bridges. Turns out all the reading I did under the influence was for nought and I had to start all over again. What's with all these complex, multi-dimensional characters and situations, anyway? Some people just won't write trite.
