Some people, this may be a vacation weekend. Me? Well, I'll do what I can -- meeting friends for drinks and a movie tonight, and we're supposed to hit the beach tomorrow (checks for Ultra 30,000 SPF sunscreen and large floppy hat)-- but other than that I will be hunkered down in the shade with iced caffiene, munchables, and a pile of To Be Dones.

and maybe this will finally larn me to say no when someone asks if I can do One More Thing...


Revise a proposal at editor's request.
Write up proposal for a new, non-writing project.
Polish chapters to go with requested proposal.
Burn photos to cd and deliver to client.
Finish client's line edit.
Finish rough draft of novella.
Continue work on novel_in_90 project.
Clean apartment.
Laundry.
Food shopping.
Prep for incoming freelance project
[if time/energy] Write up second proposal for another new, non-writing project.

Coffee's ready. Back to't.


P.S. My folks are home from Croatia. Stories doubtless to follow...

Aren't you a busy bee this weekend? As I'd read "folks are home from Croatia" before clicking to see what was behind the cut, the first time I read "Polish chapters" I imagined you writing something set in Krakow, and was quite intrigued, though daunted by your to do list. Fortunately, what you intended to say (and, actually, did say) is much less work that what I first read.

As for me, I am basking in Birthdayness and heading out to see Pirates in a couple of hours.

Sounds like me. I got two new jobs, both which are rush jobs, to be done by Tuesday. But hey (as I said in my LJ) we're writers...do we really observe all those holidays? LOL
