It never fails. I wake up and have Massive!Writing!Surge!...

on the days I have to go out and mingle with people.

Worse, mingle with non-writing people who aren't going to appreciate that my head is not exactly with them.

Fortunately, my evening plans involve book-type people. So I can babble at them and they will be amused.

But damn. Wanna stay in and wriiiiiiiiiiite!

That's me. I hate to write. I love having written. Then I can make it better by editing. But, writing? I hate it. Of course, I'm not a writer by trade so maybe I don't count as a writer.

Well, I don't do fiction. I write to communicate information to clients, to students, to friends, to the French administration. And even that, I hate doing. I put it off as long as possible. It's so much work to decide what needs to be said and how to say it. But once the draft is done, I love it cuz I do love editing or rewriting. That is what I do professionally. So maybe the paycheck counts for something.*VBG*
