Some days, the trick to getting things done is as simple as OPENING THE DAMN FILE AND TYPING.

*ahem*

Also? My cats walk all over me. Except when they're sleeping on me. Help! I'm pinned under a 20-pound puma wannabe, and I can't get up!

So, it's MLK Day. Show the good Reverend Dr. some props and be civilly disobedient. Meanwhile, the to-do list is long and the caffeine awaits. Another day, another 20% to Unca Sam...

ETA: Cary Grant. Lesley Caron. "Father Goose" How had I missed this movie before?

No idea how you could miss "Father Goose." You do know "African Queen", yes? Big Cary Grant fan here...new year's eve has been spent with him since my college days, twenty-X years ago. This year: "Destination Tokyo" and perennial favorite, "My Favorite Wife" (Irene Dunne at her best, and Cary got to exercise some of his skills from his days in the acrobatic troupe).

Okay, head back down, nose re-connecting with grindstone. As you suggest, a freelancer's work is never done....

You'd never seen it? Really? One of my favourite lines ever comes from that movie; I use it around the house. Caron to Grant, "I like what you did to my leg..."

OK, now I have to go rent the damned thing and watch it again. Followed by Bringing Up Baby, The Lion in Winter and The African Queen.

My cats like to walk right across my bladder while they find a good spot to sleep on me.

Hey, tomorrow I send out a certain box of goodies, complete with a guide 'n' everything.

There are a lot of good movies out there. Father Goose was one. A neighborhood movie house had a PreCode movie festival recently. Yummy stuff.

Funny, I was just trying to convince myself that today is a HOLIDAY and I need to day off. But it's not working.

I love "Father Goose" although my favorite would have to be "Charade" with Mr. Grant and Audrey Hepburn.
