The Chanukkah elph came, bringing with it my secondbest present -- a digital camera (A Cannon PowerShot 600 elph, for them as are curious, chosen mainly because of my positive experience playing around with tina_jens's 300elph a few years back, and some excellent tech reviews on-line.)

This morning I've been playing around with it, figuring out what's what. And I have discovered that, true to form, Pandora is quite blase about being photographed (mom, cut it with that flash!) and Boomer would rather investigate the shiny thing in mom's hand than pose cutely in his usual spots...

that's actually a family heirloom of sorts - my grandmother made it when I was a preteen. I'm not sure how to describe it -- rows of bent-step ladders? Give me an e-mail and I can send you a jpg, if you're curious.

Those are pretty much the quintessential pics of the two. Pandora's is, "Yeah, whatever, leave me the fuck alone," and Boomer's is, "HI! HOW YA DOIN'!"

Each time, the moment I raised the camera, he was all "ooooo shiny! lemmee see!"

Actually, Pandora has been quite social, as the folk here last night can attest. This morning she was cranky because I keep getting up when she wanted to snuggle.

Always nice to see cranky cats mellow in their old age. Marcus was Mr. Standoffish to everyone except terri_osborne when they all first moved in with me, but he's turned into quite the snuggle-slut......

There's a reason I call her the Dutchess, after all.

Pandora looks like a bigger version of my Shadow. I do love that Tiger coloring. And Boomerang looks so freindly. Actually, I am surprised to see them as thay really are. I was picturing big and black and long haired for Pandora and grey short-hair for Bommerang. GO figure.
