lagilman: coffee or die (bye-bye)
[personal profile] lagilman
As I mentioned back when, I'm in the process of culling my rather extensive library, listing a number of them on half.com. I'm almost finished listing my fiction offerings (including a lot of very good mysteries in both hc and mass), and am starting on the non-fiction/reference works. Those, as a rule, are a bit more battered than the fiction, but I tend not to write in my books even when I'm taking notes. I don't dog-ear pages, either. Some people save receipts for taxes. I save 'em for bookmarks.

I also have something that I will NOT be listing on half.com, although it may go up on Ebay if nobody here speaks up: I have a very very limited edition item -- one of only 333 copies ever printed: the 20th anniversary chapbook for Necon (aka "camp Necon" aka "Northast (Horror) Writers Conference.") What makes this so special, you ask? Other than the limited nature, this very simple-looking trade paperback contains a number of short stories and essays never before - or after -- seen, including one from Himself1, Peter Straub, and Himself2, Stephen King. Oh, all right, and Himself3, Neil Gaiman. Not available anywhere else, as they like to say on the infomercials. Interested? E-mail me.

(and if you're wondering: 'why on earth would she give this up?' I have to admit -- I'm wondering the same thing myself. But I haven't re-read it in three years, and that's the limit I set myself for the culling. So....)
