progress, and the gift-giving meme
Dec. 11th, 2006 10:43 pm2500 words and I wrote myself out of a corner, yay. And half a smut scene. Scribus interruptus.
Also hero's name has to change. I see the point, but it makes me cranky. I can rework it to keep the running pun, though. That makes me happy. I'm all about the implicit puns.
Also also? XMen 3 really really sucked, didn't it?

Date: 2006-12-12 06:39 am (UTC)Is this a solution to the Christmas music burnout you described in late November?
Re: Hanukkah music?
Date: 2006-12-12 02:29 pm (UTC)A) there are only a handful of Channukah songs out there (it's a minor holiday, as things go. Really!) and most of them are meh.
B) I have no interest in "Jewish-themed" talk shows. I have little interest in talk shows as a rule, though, so I may not be the best person to ask that.
C) the cure for overloading on one kind of sugar isn't to try to eat only another kind of sweet. It's to have a nice, balanced diet. Give me one holiday-themed song every hour, and it's a treat, something I'll stay tuned to catch (ex: Springsteen's "Santa Claus is coming to Town" or The Waitresses' "Christmas Rapping." Or even Adam Sandler's "Channukah Song," which it pains me to say cracks me up, every single year.). I suspect I'm not alone in that.
