Val stopped by last night to borrow some costuming pieces for the Halloween party at work next week. As we were digging through my closet, I realized that I have an awful lot of vintage clothing. I also have way more 30s pieces than I thought, both vintage and reproduction. Go fig.*g*

I'm pretty chuffed, yeah. But still waiting to hear if the editor accepts it... (this was my first time playing in that particular Pond o' Big Fish, so it was very important that I nail it)

My only hesitation about the dress (other than $$) would be how pink the pink actually is. Some shades I can wear, but some are just too overtly little-girl for me.

hmm. The pattern should be fairly easy to find or replicate, so you could have it in pretty much any color :) Though I'm not sure which colors would be period-appropriate if you're going for accuracy rather than just a fun style.
