Y'know? Stop making excuses, stop checking into booze rehab like it's some one-crime-fits-all whitewash, and take some gods-be-damned responsibility. I DON'T CARE what happened to you -- you're the adult, you're the one who was co-chairman of the House's Missing and Exploited Children Caucus, for pity's sake! Did you ever think that maybe this wasn't such a smart idea, if you were attracted to barely-pubescent teens? Did you THINK, period?

(ironically, Mr. Foley was a big supporter of President Clinton’s impeachment. You can't make this shit up.)

I don't care if he's gay, any more than I cared that former NJ governor Jim McGreevy is gay -- Jim should have been thrown out for corruption, not homosexuality, and Foley should be drummed out of all his offices for being a predator, not for being gay.


And, of course, the President is saying he knew nothing about any of this. That's probably the only thing Bush has said recently that I believe...

I just want to go down to D.C. and bitchslap everyone with a Congressional parking space.

To say that there is at least one advantage to this abomination -- when the next Bush supporter tries to get me to think about their candidate, I can look offended and say: "The national debt has gone from 20 trillion to 43 trillion on Bush's watch -- and the Speaker did NOTHING about a known closeted gay man who was chasing teenagers on-line...violating the $%$#@ law the rep helped pass! I am a moral person, and a fiscal conservative, and I'm going to vote against every Republican I can!"
