I regret to say, once again, that the life of a freelancer is, pretty much, deadly dull.

The morning was spent on a line edit for a corporate client. I spent some time on the phone, talking to various people. I answered some e-mail about various projects under consideration, and took on a new freelance job (copy-writing, this time). A break for lunch (turkey breast and Jack cheese on an english muffin. Ooo, the excitement!), then I answered another e-mail about incoming projects. I got the postal mail and dealt with that. I thought a bit about various projects under consideration, and made a few tweaks to one, in anticipation of a phone call expected either today or tomorrow morning. I went back to the line edit.

Oh, and somewhere in there I exercised, yeah.

Don't y'all wish you were me?

*pauses for the flotilla of yawning*

In other, only a smidge more exciting news, I finally took the plunge and acquired www.lauraannegilman.net. Right now, and for the foreseeable future, it's merely a pointer to my existing site, but this URL should be easier to remember. I had wanted lauraannegilman.com as well, but someone swiped it, the bastid.

And, as folk have probably already heard, the field took another blow today, with the death of John M. Ford, reportedly of a heart attack.

This trend is starting to piss me off significantly. Nobody else I know, or knows someone I know, is allowed to die for the rest of the year. Okay? Everyone take note of that? Good.
