Actually, the romance mags are smart that way - they understand that their readers usually read well outside the romance genre. Romantic Times does a lot of SF/F reviews for books that have absolutely no romantic content. It's a nice way to gain a wider audience for your books!

oh, I know -- we used to routinely send much of our list thataway when I was editing. It's more of an amusement that I am writing anything that's getting reviewed in romance genre mags, IYKWIM. I'm still amazed I'm being published by Luna in the first place!

When I was the PR director at Del Rey, I was always surprised when people like Richard K. Morgan and China Mieville got reviewed in romance mags.
