lagilman | swans at dusk

Driving northbound this evening, the dusk was starting to settle lightly in the air, not quite to the point of needing headlights but close. I came around a curve where the road became a dirt bridge over the reservoir, and slowed down to about 20mph. And because of that I saw them: two swans, shimmering white against gloaming-dark waters. Just an instant, and then my car was over the bridge and they were gone.

I wish I'd been able to take a picture of it, but I have the memory-snapshot, anyway. Complete with cricket-and-breeze soundtrack.

A peaceful ending to a hectic week. May the weekend continue that trend...
