lagilman | Monday Morning Remix

Not much to report -- spent the weekend alternating between social frivolity and beating my head against the computer screen. And some (gasp!) reading-for-pleasure, specifically Lynn Flewelling's new one, THE ORACLE'S QUEEN. She writes so very differently than I do, it's both a pleasure and a learning experience to dive down into one of her books.

Today, I've had to deal with some Occasional Employment stuff (and will have to go back over to the office later to meet with someone), but otherwise have the entire day to mess about in boats, er, proposals. This is both a lot of fun (new ideas! new characters! new possibilities!) and very depressing (it's all purely on spec, so you're not actually earning money while you're working your fingers off.)

However, the sky is blue, the breeze is soft off the coast, and it's only supposed to get into the mid-80's. Monday could be a hell of a lot worse....
