I don't know that I've ever seen a more complex, better developed relationship in on-screen characters. Of course, the character of Abby is amazing in and of herself!
It's delightful, isn't it????? I love the fact she's so incredibly smart, so switched on, and so sure of her own value and expertise, and the fact that he -- having spent so much of his adult life in a profoundly macho and some might say misogynistic culture -- has no trouble accepting and embracing and celebrating her brilliance. And loving her for who she is.
I *adore* it, especially in this episode. (the elevator scene, eee. And that little *smile* he gives her when she figures out that the stalker thing isn't her fault... *melts*
