Fictionwise stuff, and more!
Jun. 12th, 2006 06:11 pmSo, Staying Dead is #7 on the Fictionwise fantasy list. It's a small list in a small pond, but it pleases me nonetheless. The reader review -- only one, but they liked it, they really liked it! -- pleases me even more.
And, for those of you craving that next Wren Valere fix, the short story "Palimpsest" (from Powers of Detection) is also up on Fictionwise, and only 64 cents! Go, read. Hey, Publishers Weekly liked it, so will you!
In fact, read 'em all, they're short. I'll write more. ;-)

In the end, it's all about how the readers react -- storytelling's an interactive art, even if it has to be passed through a third party (paper, or phosphors). I make the story as real and as interesting as I can, but only the reader can make it succeed.
Gee, puts a lot of pressure on the reader, doesn't it? Good. I'm all about the brainpower-in-use thing. (it only looks like frothy escapism... stealth thinking! Eeeee!)
okay, no more cafFiend for me, this morning...
