So, stopped by the apartment at lunch, and picked up the mail. Included in that was something from Parachute. Which turned out to be something forwarded from Harper.

Ooo, my first YA fan mail letter!

Nope. Was a typewritten letter invoking various biblical phrases and entreating me "because I care for you" to find Jesus as my personal savior.

*facepalm*

Now I'm wondering if I was specially chosen by this guy because of what I wrote(specifically, Arthurian)? Is he targeting all YA fantasy writers? All fantasy writers? (Lord, if he looks at the Retrievers series, please let him note that both my main characters call on Jesus and you, both, a lot! Even if Wren was raised a Protestant. And consorts with demon. Okay, the demon part is probably going to make him froth at the mouth, isn't it....)

*two months in New England, and I'm reverting in my slang usage.

And isn't it nice to be cared for?

Me, I'm glad the world is full of people who care for me so much that they crank out letters to help me find Jesus. It's that personal touch that makes it so special. If it weren't for thoughtful folk like that, I'd be forced to undertake a desperate quest to find a place where groups of people gather regularly to discuss Jesus and help each other find salvation and junk. Too bad there isn't such a thing on almost every street corner in America--it would sure reduce the number of trees that would have to be cut down to make paper to write letters on...

*cackle* I lived in Boston for one measly year and I still slip into using wicked in an inappropriate (for the region I now live in) manner. Amuses me more than exasperates me, though.

I don't think I've stopped using "wicked" yet, so don't worry about it. ;)

Yeah, I must agree, Jewish people should be more christian. *snerk*

Maybe that is what prompted him. My god, I like this author and she isn't christian, I must do something about this! Otherwise I won't be able to read more of her works after The Rapture! Somehow I doubt that if Shakespeare is in heaven he is still slaving over a moist quill. Doesn't seem like much of a heaven if you still have to work to make a living. :)

{General look of awe}

I've written two books about witches, and the worst I've had is people refusing to make eye contact at a library meeting I was invited to. . ..

Soon you'll be banned in Boston, and then hit the big-time!
