Am home.
Am slightly tanned, very well-rested, and am having trouble remembering that it was only yesterday I was sitting on the veranda of our cabin, watching turquose waters slip by...
That said, it has been determined that no, I'm not a 'cruise person.' Not a surprise -- organized distractions and enforced socializing is bad enough during a convention -- it's not how I choose to spend my downtime. Thankfully, we were able to ignore the scheduled conviviality for the most part, and the folk we did meet were likewise minded enough to be enjoyable company.
The cats have taken to huddling at shoulder and foot, but Pandora is no longer doing the "you're back! You left! Bitch!" yowl. There will be sleep in the very near future, becuse I refuse to allow this nice post-vacation healthy mellow glow to disapear just yet. Time enough for that in the coming week, when all sorts of chaos descends...
Will not be back-reading the f-list for time-related reasons, so if I missed something, drop me a pointer here, k?
Oh, and read WINDFALL by Rachel Caine (babe, I just want to hug you for the damn pacing on that book. You're brilliant, you know that, yah? Amd I'm so glad I get to take partial b/l/a/m/e/ credit for you being you), and THREADS OF MALICE by Tamara Siler Jones (strong stuff but very well done) and am currently halfway through THE HISTORIAN by Elizabeth Kostova, which was thrust into my hands with the command of 'read this.' Not particularly new territory, no, but so well driven you're willing to pretend you've never see that landscape before. More reading in a week than I've done in a loong time (not even counting a certain manuscript I'm currently reading). Felt good. Also managed to hammer out another chapter in my own Book 4, cussing at it all the while.. this is the chapter where the title comes into play. I suppose I need to come up with a title, now...
And yes, sleep. Now. Night!

Date: 2006-03-20 06:30 am (UTC)I am just asking because it seems as if you where directing your entry to her as if she might read it..and if that is the case I would like to add her as well since I too just finished one of her books.
Thank you either way!
