and Fashion Week has nothing on the Opening Ceremonies walk-o-athletes. And it's sad, by the way, when the Brits are more stylish than the French. In other news, pea coats are definitely wnning more style points than the bulky down-filled things.

And what is with the hats? Seriously. If you're going to wear doofusy hats, guys, take a lesson from the Canadians and wear the ear flaps UP, 'k?

Although this go-round, fashion is taking a second place snark to the soundtrack choices. "Funky Town?" Whose idea was that?

(best line from the announcers; "Ferrari donuts. I don't think that's hapened before.")

LOL! I was just about to post something similar. Disco? Not very Italian. Kind of bizarre overall. And those Alpine dresses that the placard-bearers are wearing! Oy vay.

Some of those outfits are like bridesmaids' dresses - there will never be another acceptable occasion to wear them.

I hope.

Eeeee! The Italians are dressed like Jiffy-Pop!

Sort of a side note ... the word 'snark' made it into this month's issue of Glamour. It's extremely contagious :)

I kind of liked the Tibetan hats. The Russians had pretty red and white knit ones that are at least practical and can be worn in public again.
