*waves at all the new peoples!*

Come on lurkers and newcomers, grab a glass, claim a spot on the sofa, and say hello!

(and mind Pandora -- she's decided to be Crazy Underfoot Feline today, for some reason)

I still adore that icon. Lots and lots.

Gee, underfoot would be great. One cat is in "sit on the keyboard" mode, another keeps climbing up and sprawling out across my arms. Kinda hard to type this way.

Is this only for lurkers and newcomres? Shall I scurry away again?

LOL.

Very cool icon. Can't recall the comic or the movie, but it's one where a guy chuckles and cackles, "Coffee! Coffee coffee coffee!" Except now I hear the voice of Stitch. :-)

Hi! I see you on lots of friends' friends lists. Elizabeth here, in chilly and grey New England. :)

Lurking quietly, but probably will be vocal.
Follow writer blogs with curiousity and interest, as would like to join those hallowed ranks. :-)

Working with Karen Junker on Writers' Weekend and ButcherCon programming.

Am I new? I can't remember if I'm new or not. I've been reading your blog for a while, since I figured out that the person who sometimes comments on [livejournal.com profile] matociquala's blog is also the author of the Retrievers novels, which I like very much so far (I own both). Also, from your weather comments I think you're in or near New England, too. My own blog is mainly about grad school, parenthood, politics, and writing.

I think I posted one other time before last, but can't exactly remember. I think that, by default, makes me new. But, pleasure to be here!

'Lo. Lurker (mostly) here. I read your journal because I like your books. I picked up your books because you edited for one of my favorite authors (just who escapes me right now) and they posted something about you on their website.

Well, I'm not a native. I live in western MA, but I grew up over the border in NY (Saratoga area). Definitely not a Yankee! ;)

LOL. I can see why. Just read one or two posts of hers and I'm rofl. Thanks.

When I read your reply I thought you were referencing the "coffee! coffee coffee coffee!" and light bulb went off over my head and I remembered where I heard it. Misheard it actually. It's a line of dialogue by Grant Heslov from Dante's Peak.

Like him as a character actor, but he's too often typecast as Arab American #1 or AA #2, etc. First saw him in True Lies and then in Dante's Peak. Apparently he had a part in Good Night, And Good Luck as CBS TV producer Don Hewitt.

Heh! I actually lived a few miles south of town, in Clifton Park. I love Saratoga, though, and my parents lived there before moving to Boston.

When I was a kid I wanted to go to Skidmore. :)

Lurker, here. I'm familiar with you from your newsgroup over on sff.net. *waves*

I love both of the Retriever books. Looking forward to reading more soon! :)

I'm in the very dry and terribly unseasonably hot north Texas area (just north of Dallas).

Been lurking for quite a while, just, umm, kind of shy. *blush*

Thanks for the welcome.

It made me think of Robin Williams in "Moscow on the Hudson."

Hi!

Another lurker here. I'm shy, so I don't usually comment much.

I like reading author journals and added your journal to my f-list after reading and really liking Staying Dead. I'm currently in the middle of Curse the Dark which is just as good as the first one. Looks like I'll continue buying this series whenever the next books come out :).

heh, thanks! I'm still trying to sort all this LJ stuff out. Getting there, slowly but surely.

And definitely where the cool kids hang *big grin*

*peeks out* Heylo. I'm Rick. [livejournal.com profile] arcaedia linked me to your LJ a while ago, but I can't remember why. So now I'm along for the ride.

I'm a lurking person

I think I also picked up one of your books because I remembered your editing credit on a book I'd liked. I've really enjoyed reading the Retrievers books so far. I love reading about how you balance day job/writing/freelancing.

I only discovered blogs as a thing to read a few months ago, and I'm loving this new insight into writer-thinking. I'm one of those people who thinks that writers are, um, well, much cooler than rock stars. So I get shy. I forgot my name when I met an author face-to-face once.
