bah humbug
Dec. 24th, 2005 10:38 pmTo everyone who waits until the last minute to run into a wine store and say "I need..."
We hates you.
Well, okay, no we don't. Many of you were funny, and appreciative of our efforts, and made our pre-holiday champagne tasting go wonderfully (btw, the Paul Georg blanc de blanc? Another step in my 'maybe I actually do like champagne' re-education process). But some of you -- seriously: Don't take your stress out on the folk trying to help you, okay? We're tired and stressed too, and working way too hard to suffer you gracefully, and yet we must, because you had to wait until 7pm on Christmas eve to decide that you needed to buy That Bottle that we ran out of two days ago...
That said, the boss made sure everyone working today had food and drink, and I left tonight with lovely parting gifts, including spiced wine, a fleece jacket, and a gift card. Nice.
And now I'm off for the rest of the year. Ah, bliss.
(New Year's Eve is bound to be even worse... for the sake of my co-workers, reread the above before you go shopping, oktnxbye!)
