(I don't mean to sound so blase -- well, maybe I do, but I've been through this debate a few times before, from the intellectual and marketing sides, and that was enough for me. More power to everyone who's enjoying it, though.)

It reminds me of the whole "what is goth" thing (or its variant, "is _______goth?") that the goths have to rehash every few years.

Yeah. Usually I can at least find the energy to blog briefly about this sort of debate, if not to actually participate. But while I respect just about everyone debating the issue, and some interesting (or at least amusing) things have been said, I just can't seem to muster the caring this time around.
