WFC update

Committed to committing commission on a largeish piece of jewelry.

Set up a single malt tasting in the bar and won over at least two folk to the faith (three more and I get a toaster!)
Got cornered by Beth Gwynn for an official headshot ("I'm not even close to being ready for my closeup, Mr DeMille")
Attended several parties and refrained from consuming any strange-colored drinks (unlike Thursday night, thereby proving that the meerkat can be taught).
Had multiple people walk up to me at the mass signing and have actual multiple things with my name on the cover for me to sign. Shiny.
Went to bed almost frighteningly early (a.k.a. it was Saturday, but only by a few minutes).
on Saturday I:
Had a breakfast meeting of variable topics.
Enabledbgliterary into dire acts of jewelery acquistion
Closed down a local bakery over lunch with various other writer-types, ending what was a truly delightful writers-as-food-types discussion.
Attended a gathering of many LJers in the overflow bar -- was nice to put faces to usernames, and meet new folk.
Surprised Madame Agent (akaarcaedia) with an 'Agent Appreciation Dinner' with all of her clients attenting the convention. Who says writers can't keep secrets? :-)
Had a ten pm panel on 'scary things in the basement' that meandered interestingly along the topic with much help from the surprisingly large and alert audience, and seemed to be well-enjoyed by all participants.
Spent several hours keeping several unnamed-for-safety (mine!) folk upright and out of trouble before abandoning them to their fates.
Went to bed somewhere after midnight but before 1am, proving that I'm getting older or wiser or possibly both, and slept until 7. You know life is weird when you get more sleep at a convention than at home...
Sunday I:
am skipping out on the WFA baquet in order to have brunch withhavocthecat and family. After, there are plans for low-stress post-con gatherings. And then, tomorrow, home and back to work (the revision letter for BRING IT ON, I am told, will be waiting in my mailbox when I land). Wheee.....
