As twcblog points out, this is one for northeasterners to keep an eye on, too. The current project path (http://www.weather.com/maps/news/atlstorm24/projectedpath_large.html) doesn't make a Long Island hit likely, but it is within the realm of possibility.
By the time it gets up here, odds are it will 'just' be a nasty-ass Sou'easter. With luck, we'll be sorted out enough from the October Deluge to ride it out.
