Dudes. Hold up on that ark a minute, 'k?
Oct. 15th, 2005 09:23 amAnd lo, the lord sent a dove...
(it's a pigeon)
And lo, the lord sent a dark gray dove, bearing an olive branch...
(it's a stalk of swampgrass)
And lo, the lord said unto the weary, damp masses, "get off your weary damp asses, people, for the sun is shining!"
(is not. Okay, it is, but there are still a lot of dark greyish clouds out there, and I don't trust that pigeon, anyway. Methinks it has a shifty eye)
And lo, the sound of lawn mowers was heard in the land for the first time in a fortnight, and there was much rejoicing and folding up of umbrellas, for though the people were weary and wary with it, there was no rain, and the skies were bright.
And may we say -- yay, for now they can fix our be-damned roof.

Date: 2005-10-16 02:12 am (UTC)And Lo! All those miserable in the rain didst go out!
And the Lord never saw such terrible traffic, Saying,
"Twenty minutes at this light? You gotta be kiddning!"
And thus the Lord took the backroads and enjoyed the day.
