Semirelated aside, Curse the Dark was smack-dab atop the new releases table at the Fairfax B&N the other day. Very prominent.

One copy wandered into my handful of purchases, and will likely be read before Potter.

I read it yesterday because I wanted to read it before my impressions of the book were shaped by the inevitable spoilers floating around. I'd been disatisfied with HP #5, and had wondered if part of that disatisfaction was related to knowing key events before I had a chance to read the book.

Now it's done, and I can move on to books in my TBR stack.

Hubby and I succumbed Saturday and went to get the newest Rowling. I also managed to pick up a copy of Curse the Dark. Rowling can wait and, so far, I'm 3/4 the way through CtD. Hubby just thought I was being nice when I told him he could read the Rowling first. Sometimes it's too easy.
